3:00 p.m.
Rose Garden and Henry A. Wallace Visitor and Education Center

The National Park Service will conduct a Rose Garden Ceremony at 3:00 p.m. for President Roosevelt's Birthday on January 30. Following the program, the FDR Presidential Library will provide cake and refreshments in the Wallace Center and host an exhibition opening for the new exhibit, Banners Along the Hudson: FDRs Hudson River Valley Collection. This banner exhibit, to be displayed in the lobby of the Wallace Center throughout 2009, will feature reproductions of Hudson Valley artwork from the Roosevelt Library museum collections. A duplicate banner exhibit is available for display at other Hudson Valley historic sites throughout the year (contact Allan Dailey for more information 845.229.7770). Banners Along the Hudson was designed in collaboration with the National Park Service and the ExploreNY400 initiative commemorating the 400th anniversary of the pioneering voyages of Henry Hudson and Samuel de Champlain, and the 200th anniversary of Robert Fulton's steamboat journey up the Hudson River.
